About the Project
Nearly a decade after Typhoon Yolanda devastated Eastern Visayas, its impact remains etched into the memory of every community it touched. Buhat EV honors the thousands of lives lost and reflects on the lasting effects of the tragedy. This tribute holds special meaning as we remember our dear friend Grace Ann, whose love for nature continues to inspire us. In her honor, we lead a tree-planting initiative called “Grace EV with a Tree”, reaffirming our commitment to climate resilience, community strength, and the hope that grows with every seed we plant.
“Grace EV with a Tree” is Buhat EV’s annual tree-planting activity dedicated to commemorating Typhoon Yolanda and celebrating the life of Grace Ann. Guided by her passion for the environment, we bring volunteers together to plant trees, restore greenery, and promote climate justice in Eastern Visayas. This meaningful act symbolizes healing, remembrance, and our shared responsibility to protect future generations. Through each tree we nurture, we honor Grace’s legacy and contribute to building a stronger, more resilient community.
